  8.   1.19  added PCL=PNG_COMPRESSIONLEVEL/N/K option to set the compression level
  9.         the PNG encoder uses. linked with a newer version of libpng. also 
  10.         included a version for WarpUP (only the PNG saver uses the PPC).
  11.   1.19a    the PNG saver of PPC version had a modulo problem, so that saving 8bit
  12.       images didn't work that well (version is dated 13-Feb-02).
